Microsoft has officially dumped Response Point, their Small Business voice over IP system.

The announcement can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/responsepoint/notification.aspx

The fact is that the Response Point system was really not a "true" VoIP system the way I would classify the Cisco UC500 series. There was really no quality of service on the network, it required you to run it on another vendors network, etc.

Let's compare that to the Cisco UC500 solution, we have the Cisco Call Manager Express and Unity Express messaging a robust and feature rich platform. Add in the Cisco Small Business Pro switches and you have a unified platform that is designed to work together with quality of service on your network. A far superior platformed geared toward small and medium businesses at an affordable price.
